Every month, leaders are stepping up and working harder than ever to educate, recruit, and most of all, inspire. It is because of people like them that make Crowd1 the incredible network that it is. This is a chance to get to know the people behind the success.
What is your background like?
My original background was architecture, and then I moved into property investing building a portfolio. I was a professional martial artist for many years, and we still have a full-time martial arts center. I was introduced to the networking profession through connections I had in a property many years ago. I loved the profession and have done it ever since.
How did you get to where you are now?
100% focus and commitment, no point dipping toes in. I dived in and took massive action. I looked for mentors who were where I wanted to be, took their advice, then worked hard to reach their levels.
If you could coach your younger self, what would you tell them?
Take a decision and go for it, you are responsible for your own life. If you’re not happy with it, change it. Do not rely on anyone else to shape your future, don’t worry about failing at something, it’s all part of life’s journey.
Choose a superpower, and why?
I would be a mind reader so I can cut through time-wasters quicker.
Who inspires you?
My wife Caroline. People who know her will understand why she’s my inspiration.
What has been going through your mind lately?
When will this lockdown finish so we can go on the Crowd1 cruises and bucket list trips.
What do you work towards in your free time?
Quality time with my family. I work with Crowd1 seven days a week, so in my free time, I want quality time with those I care about the most.
Our world is progressing, and we are meeting more online. With this in mind, how do you make real connections?
I am old school, if I connect online, I take it to a call asap. I still believe real relationships are built when you can meet, see and talk to people, you can’t read tonality.
