What is your background like?
I am originally from Durban, KwaZulu Natal. I was born into a big and loving family raised by a single mother–she is my role model. I was not born into privilege, and I had to work straight after school. I was contributing towards the family as a breadwinner and supporting my siblings, making sure I could support my family.
How did you get to where you are?
I moved from Durban to Johannesburg after my divorce in March 2019. I wanted to go to a new city and start a new life. It was in September that I was introduced to Crowd1 from my mother. I didn’t have to work hard, but I had to work smart. I have done exceptionally well through Crowd1, and my mom and I are now able to financially support the family.
What has been the biggest challenge?
This business is challenging, and because of my success in such a short time, people expect more of me. Even people from outside my team call to ask me to mentor them. I have to make sure that I am always ahead with what is happening in Crowd1 in order to pass it onto my team.
"In life, you must work for what you want."
If you could coach your younger self, what would you tell them?
If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. In life, you must work for what you want. To get the results you want, you need to build on it–it’s a journey starting with a solid foundation. I would tell the younger generation out there to have an open mind to network marketing.
Who inspires you?
My mother. She is my role model. I have learnt so much from her. Whenever I visit her, I always feel motivated and inspired.
