Spotlight: Sandra Mabuto

Every month, leaders are stepping up and working harder than ever to educate, recruit, and most of all, inspire. It is because of people like them that make Crowd1 the incredible network that it is. This is a chance to get to know the people behind the success.

What is your background like?

My background is very broad; from sales and marketing, training and development, human resources and recruitment, to insurance and politics.

How did you get to where you are?

Through God and my ancestors. I must say perseverance is key. Through a clear mindset and a pure heart, it gave me the will and power to keep pushing. Hunger will make you work harder in whatever you set your mind to do.

If you could coach your younger self, what would you tell them?

Believe in your abilities, find inner peace and trust your instinct. Follow your heart. Not everyone will love you, but at least they must like you for who you are and stop compromising your feelings and happiness for people who don’t even see you.

Choose a superpower, and explain why.

To turn back the hands of time and travel back to my ancestral past. I would do anything to meet men and women who made it possible for me to be born into this era. I yearn for their wisdom and knowledge on how they did things and how they saw the future – which is now my current.

What is the best gift you have given someone?

Firstly, it’s life itself, and unconditional love, hope, faith, respect, independence and to be self resilient. All this is accomplished with education and endless support. That, to me, sums up a great gift for someone.

“Believe in your abilities, find inner peace and trust your instinct.”

Who inspires you?

In this business of Crowd1, I have my mom and grandmother, as I call them. They are two individuals in my life whom I have learnt so much from in a short period of time, they are both unique in their way, and I am grateful to them for crossing my path and for sharing this opportunity with me. In the home front, my children and husband inspire me daily. My home is my haven, my sanctuary, my ride or die. My family inspires me a great deal. Every day is priceless moments filled with endless memories.

You are inviting one of our members over for dinner. What are you serving?

It would be difficult to choose one dish, so I would instead do a buffet set up with all types of red meat, chicken, fish and vegan options accompanied by delicious desserts and washed down with the finest wines. After all, impossible is nothing with Crowd1, so why limit the dinner?
